Yakutat Counseling

A joint venture of Sitka Counseling and Yakutat Tlingit Tribe

Yakutat Counseling philosophy is ‘No Wrong Door.’ This means we welcome all clients and don’t place barriers before services. Instead, we help people connect to the services they need, as quickly as possible, whether those services are available within the agency, or through referral.

We make use of a thorough assessment to find out what services are needed. We are constantly working to improve services, and to identify partners in Yakutat, Sitka, and elsewhere, to identify the very best care available.

We recognize that healing is for the whole person. Body, mind, emotions, spiritual and social relationships are all involved in healing and recovery. Each client is assisted in developing a plan for their own recovery, encouraged to develop new skills to gain recovery, and assisted with aftercare.
